This is a hand cut and shaped pendant with an 18" black leather cord fitted with a sterling silver clasp.
This piece was cut from a larger piece, ground to shape with numerous
grits and polished in my shop. It is an original piece
Imperial Jasper is considered one of the five “fine jaspers,” alongside Bruneau, Morrisonite, Willow Creek, and Blue Mountain. Sourced from steep canyon slopes about 50 miles northwest of Guadalajara, Mexico, this jasper forms in a lush, rugged region north of San Cristobal—where dense vegetation hides a six-kilometer stretch of world-class deposits. It is one of the rarer jaspers due to the difficulty in mining it.
