An artist friend called these boxes "Bento boxes" and although they are not meant to hold food as the Japanese "Bento-Bako" boxes are, the name stuck. I made four of these boxes, each with different woods and interior linings. They measure 13 1/2" x 5" x ~3" high. Each is a attempt at simplicity in grain pattern chosen to complement the proportionally balanced shape of the box.
