Many of the rocks and minerals used by Kent were collected while camping and traveling with family and friends over many years. Recently he acquired a large collection from a retired geologist who had spent a lifetime traveling the world looking for minerals. "Rock-hounds" share a common interest in their passion for natural environments and an obsession for discovery. Their avocation provides them with a window of our beautiful world.
Kent typically begins a pendant by cutting a large stone into narrow slabs which he examines for pattern and color. Then the slabs are cut so as to approximate the final shape before going through numerous stages of grinding, drilling, sanding and polishing. The end result is a singular, artistic, wearable piece of sculpture.
Clicking on any pendant will provide you with a more detailed image and a video of the stone as well as an opportunity to purchase.
